Hello and thank you for your eyes! It has been awhile, but we are back in the swing of things and Spring has Sprung here in Abingdon, Virginia. Lots of folks this time of year begin planning Summer vacations and I want to pitch our town to those of you who aren't familiar with it. Abingdon Virginia is a great place to include on your travel plan this year. A typical day here could potentially look like this: After a restful nights sleep in the historic Martha Washington Inn, get up and have breakfast at the home grown Dunkin Deli-a great Omelette, homemade Donut, Toast, home fries and Coffee await! Hop down to the head of the Creeper Trail and take off on a wonderful run or walk or ride for hours in the beautiful woods of Southwest Virginia. The Creeper runs all the way to Jefferson, North Carolina and there is plenty to see and do along the way. Wildlife abounds along the peaceful canopied trail alongside rivers and streams. Come back to town and freshen up and come see us at Capo's! You'll find tons of instruments to check out, cds and books to peruse as well. Take a lesson with one of our qualified instructors (pre-registration required). Then its back to the hotel to get freshened up for dinner at the Historic Tavern or Rain, Political Dogs, 128 Pecan or JJ's or any of the other wonderful hometown eateries here in Abingdon. We have a great many to choose from! Then its off to a show at the historic Barter Theatre-The State Theatre of Virginia for a performance you are sure to enjoy! Great memories are waiting to be made here in Abingdon and we invite you to come see us soon!
